Leisel is doing great in homeschool math and reading and writing! She made a soccer ball using hexagons and pentagons. We had several living history visitors who were founding fathers including George Washington, Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison. We visited a replica of the liberty bell in Memory Grove and had lots of hands on history experiences. Jonathan is working on letters and handwriting as well as counting to 100. Michael enjoyed performing with concert and jazz band. He also attended several dances, all by invitation of girls. Jordan continued to rock speech and debate and had some tournaments online where he could compete in pajama shorts with a shirt and tie. He won an egg drop contest with his popcorn bag design, and Mark Rober's stamp of approval. We are so grateful for the temple trips planned by the homeschool group. The kids were able to visit several times despite closures and restrictions. Tessa is becoming a great reader and she continues to set goals to learn in school. Jared and I enjoyed leading our Edison class of older youth for SVLA. The readings and book discussions were really great experiences and we tried to inspire them in their various projects. Some of the photos are of class celebrations and one of the times we met on zoom. Jonathan did a round of swim lessons to get ready for summer at Goldfish swim school. Michael was selected to be on the cabinet leadership for Paradigm and Jordan was also inducted into the SVLA student council for next year. It was a good one!
