Celebrations and School Year Endings

Grandma gave us an idea for a science fair project and the kids worked together to submit it.  "Which leavening is best?"

 fun times being scientists

Michael and Jordan did some solo jazz improvisation at their band performance.
Michael performed "Moonlight Sonata" and "Do you Hear the People Sing"

This was Jordan's first piano recital!  He performed two songs and a duet.  He did amazing this year and his teacher, Wendy, presented quite the show of all her students.

Here is Michael participating with our ward's mutual in the Jordan River temple walk.  He performed with the choir in the celebration before the dedication and as a pianist at the open house.  He said that he had a really great experience with all the activities focused on helping the youth be temple ready.

Jonathan is getting his booties taken off after the temple tour.  After two years of construction and remodeling, it was so awesome to have the temple dedicated again!

Here's a photo of some of Jordan's cute friends from classes and our Biztown group.
And here they are at Classic Fun Center for an end of school party.

Fisher got his Eagle!  He is our favorite boy scout and is such an inspiration!

Tessa and Leisel signed up to be in a school group next year called Davinci.  They are really excited!  In May we met the teachers and went to a get-together to check things out.

Shakefest 2018

Michael, Jordan and Tessa got to be involved in Shakespeare plays this year.
The productions in April were awesome and they learned a lot!

Jonathan made it through the shows once and then just enjoyed the balloons and other activities.
The following week, we made it down to Provo to see Fisher perform in Love's Labour's Lost

The Easter Musical

We enjoyed learning some amazing songs about the life of Christ and practicing with friends.

Michael was one of the opening narrators.
This was one of his first times on stage and singing solos!  and he mostly enjoyed it!
Tessa got to sing a solo in the song about Christ's baptism.

We were so grateful for things that mom lent for costumes, props and backdrops.
And it was great to have some family who came to be our audience.
Beautiful music and focusing on Christ made it a wonderful Easter holiday!

Jared and I celebrated 15 years married this year!  This is our first apartment in Logan.  The day before Jared's birthday, the kids got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa in Garland.  Jared and I stayed overnight in Logan and visited lots of our old favorite spots.
