After returning from our camping trip, we visited Great Grandmother again. She had settled in a nice assisted living home the previous fall and had been doing quite well until her recent downturn. Grandpa was monitoring her closely with the nurses. He was a very attentive son and such a great dad and grandpa to help everyone navigate goodbyes with Elaine. He had planned an extended family reunion for his father's side of the family and was actually speaking to the whole gathering at Draper Park when he received a text from the staff at Harmony Hills that she had passed away. He was such a great example as he managed all the arrangements and family interactions with love. The funeral was beautiful and I really enjoyed seeing so many family members gathered together to honor Grandmother. Her labor of love was her faith and her family. It was a blessing to look back on all the interactions I had with her and see her life legacy. I look forward to being together with her again in the eternities.
Leisel is wearing one of Grandmother's dresses that was set out for family members to find keepsakes and belongings to take home. She was a very petite pretty lady!
