Camping and Peterson Reunion near Boulder Mountain

The Peterson reunion this year was in early July in an area close to Bicknell and Boulder Mountain.
We went up a night early to camp and explore as a family.
lots of bugs = games in the tent
tons of lakes (and dried up bodies of water) in the area
Jared took the boys to one a few miles from our camp for fishing and kayaking.
Success!
Grandpa and all his extended family showed up on Friday.
Jonathan fell asleep on the ride with dad.
Cousins!

Fun Games and Activities

June 2016

June was a little crazy.  We finished up school, prepared for the trip to Mexico and squeezed in a few activities with cousins.
We were able to fit in a couple trips to the cabin early in the summer.

We made it to a couple of Amy's hikes.  This one was to Suicide rock at the entrance to Parley's summit.

This was some nice visiting and Sunday dinner at Grandma Keller's house for Father's Day
(love Leisel making friends with the dog here)
Aiden's birthday party at Cowabunga
classic summer fun

It seems like Tessa looses teeth left and right and she got some help from Aunt Jenny and Uncle Eric a couple times to pull out the stubborn ones.

We tried out the paddle boat rental and splash pads at Liberty Park.

These silly kids caught some crayfish in the canal, cooked them up and sampled them!

Jenny hosted cousins at the Lindon Marina of Utah Lake!

Then Harston cousins came into town and took the fun up another notch!

Summer Begins

Jenny's kids finished up school a few weeks before us and started the process of saying goodbye to everything in Pokie and moving into their new home in South Jordan.
We are excited to say hello to more cousin's close by and summer fun!

The girls wanted a front yard picnic with separate blankets :)
This was the in between time when we were still going to school, but enjoying the beginning of summer fun
T loves these blossoms every year!

Strawberry harvest!

Getting outside and in the garden!

Jared got really serious about the kayak project.
He worked with the kids for a couple of months and put together three foldable kayaks.
Renee bought a new house in Sandy!  It was fun to meet her neighbor's horses.  She juggled three houses all summer and finally settled into her new house a couple weeks ago.
The flag out for Memorial Day
It was nice to go with Jenny and Linda to the gravesites of our Harston and Hatch grandparents here in the valley.
It has been a few years and was meaningful to visit again.

Yea for Sunday afternoons with a sweet big brother to read to you.
Our wonderful neighbors, Jan and Gordan, treat us to fun times at Family Home Evening.
