Quarantine #3

January 2021 was our third quarantine.  The first was really the lockdown in March.  Then in October we were exposed and were careful to stay home.  This time, Michael lost his sense of taste and tested positive for Covid.  He had a headache and fever for a few of days as well as a rash on his hands.  His sense of taste didn't return for a few weeks, but otherwise he was back up and running and returned to school after his period of recovery and distancing.  None of the family caught the virus from Michael, but we had to quarantine twice as long as he did.  The kids were troopers to be creative and continue school at home.  The resources on the internet opened good opportunities and were useful also.  Some fun ideas were making homemade noodles for the soup, a sushi night, a layered cotton candy cake, blindfolded baking and decorating contest, scrunchy making and a box train.  I decided it was time to splurge and buy some indoor swing sets.  They've been a lifesaver when it's cold and we are stuck inside.
