Proud Brothers

I couldn't resist taking some pictures on Sunday of the three kids together. (Maybe I should title this post "Proud Mom.")

Thank You Mom

The only major storm that may hit Florida this year came to our house last week.
My mom is a storm in the way that she creates a whirlwind of activity wherever she goes.
We wondered if Tessa was waiting for Grandma when labor started the day of Grandma's arrival. --and delivery was 10 minutes before the plane landed.

Then my mom proceeded to cook dinners, do loads of laundry, vacuum my house, take the boys swimming (every day) and read to them, stock up on more diapers, return my library books, AND get up in the night with Tessa.
Now she is on to her next flurry of activity somewhere else.

(on a sidenote--I love the expression of the boys in the photo on the sidewalk. This walkway to the beach is like a jungle. Michael and Jordan get really nervous every time and say that the alligators are going to get them.

We couldn't let Grandma leave Florida without visiting the beach.

We sure looked forward to and enjoyed your visit!
Thank goodness for moms!

Favorite Pictures to Share

I decided last week that I don't have many pregnancy pictures--of baby one, two or three. (I am usually the family photographer.) A sweet friend offered her time, talent, and backyard a few nights ago and we went for it! Jared was a good sport, the boys loved the time to visit friends and I got spoiled with some fun pictures. Here are the narrowed down favorites from three of the poses:

Our Florida Temple

We had a big goal to make it to the temple in Orlando before the baby comes, and what a relief, last weekend we made it! I loved the feeling as I rounded the corner and spotted the big beautiful white building. Then as I sat inside I thought, "Labor can start anytime now and I won't feel bad about turning around to head home." I enjoyed the morning at the temple and Jared the afternoon. Then we had a peaceful 3 1/2 hour drive home. We counted our blessings!

Downtown Disney

While Jared was at the temple I went with some other moms to an outdoor mall called Downtown Disney. The stores had lots of interactive areas for the kids to play and a spray park. I didn't get any pictures of the lego creations around the Lego store. --among them were a huge dragon, a t-rex, and a puppy display.

Naples Zoo

A few weeks ago we enjoyed free day at the zoo. (Yea for being local residents!) We went right at opening and only lasted a few hours. :) We are still waiting for Florida to cool down.... Our favorite animals to see were the monkeys. They live on 5-6 islands that are accessible for viewing from a boat tour. The boys were really interested in finding every animal and talking about them. I love the stage they are in where they love to learn and soak up new things every day!

Home

Here we are at 5782 Cove Circle, Naples, Florida 34119

It looks like I was trying to take a picture of the tree rather than the house. --From this view you can see the front entrance which is on the side through the alcove (behind the tree). The community has duplex style townhomes, so you see a bit of the neighbors on both sides.

--one of our visitors

I'm taking this picture from the kitchen. You can see the screened porch through the glass doors and some of our tropical trees in the backyard.

I just realized that the next blog entry might be the arrival of our baby. (I'm not overly optimistic about my infrequent blogging...) I am due the 20th and things are going well although I don't usually deliver early. --a few more weeks to prepare
