Helping at Grandpa and Grandma's

We were so grateful to be able to go visit the Clarks and see their exciting projects a few times in the Spring.  The cement came out for the front porch and back patio and then new cement for both of those and the driveway too.  Lots of moving dirt and rocks, breaking up cement and putting in forms etc.

Quarantine

In the middle of March, things got a little crazy with new Covid restrictions.  Tessa offered to go to Costco with me on a shopping trip I was dreading.  At this photo we had been through the whole line across the parking lot and back.  Everyone was stocking up!  no tp of course.  The atmosphere with people was very friendly and open, in this together...  no masks required for 2 more months.  Tessa school changed to online after her attending for less than 2 months.

We have been very nervous, but Jan wants to continue reading with Leisel every week.
A few times on facetime, but she likes to keep life in person.

Jared has big goals this year before 40.

We were able to get 4 and only 4 baby chicks - 2 early morning visits to IFA,
waiting in line and dealing with all the empty shelves.  Whew!

We found the geocache!

Michael's Classical Civ teacher delivered amazing powdered beignet
with pinenuts and lemon for an Italian festival.

Our cheap walmart spin off powdered donuts from breakfast that morning.

The blue tape is from an obstacle course idea from Ms. Shawn, Jonathan's preschool teacher.

School lunch trips and neighborhood walks were saving graces during March to May.
We got familiar with little spots to eat like this one.
