Logan Canyon

In early fall we got to spend an afternoon with the Clarks at Second Dam in Logan Canyon.  Everyone had a ride in the kayaks.  And Grandpa threw a fishing line in.  We ate a birthday treat and sang to Tessa and Leisel and Zach.  Logan was our family's first home and we love to go back.
It was a beautiful day!

Lone Peak/Upper Bell Reservoir

Jared fit in another hike toward Lone Peak with the boys via Bell Canyon this year.

They loved the two waterfalls and the huge granite boulders.

They made it within a couple miles of the peak, got home way after dark with achy muscles, and had a great time!

More Summer Fun

primary parade and breakfast at the park

The boys went on a scout overnighter and the girls did some glamming up at home.

Backyard camping.  All the kids took a turn spending a night in the hammock.

FHE and Birthday cake at Jan's
We made it to a fun concert at the park downtown.

Jonathan was almost big enough this time to help pick grapes at Wendy's.

Susie made me one of the family quilts from Teresa's growing up picnic quilt.  The kids had fun learning and helping to tie it.

We hiked with the Chapmans up Bell's Canyon.   Jared and Jordan made a raft to float around on.

Summer Fun with Cousins

Playing with Asher so the Allens could squeeze in a date.

Steamboat 2016

Grandpa and Grandma Clark hosted the annual family trip at the beginning of August.  We all traveled to Steamboat Springs and stayed together at the Worldmark Condos.
A stop on the way at Daniel Summit where we stayed 11 years ago when it was just Michael.
We took a photo then in the same spot.
Grandma and Grandpa stopped last year in Vernal and knew it would be fun to have the whole family visit on the way to Steamboat.
This landscape from the shuttle made me imagine dinosaurs roaming the area millions of years ago.

In Steamboat we revisited the fun spots from 2011 when we went on our way home from Florida.

The Yampa Botanical Garden is beautiful!

Jared and Derek found a good spot to rock climb with the boys.

And we hiked to the falls

There was lots of time for swimming at the condo.
We spent an afternoon kayaking at this beautiful secluded lake.
Grandpa helped Beckah and Tessa and Jordan catch some fish.
With everyone's catches, he was able to grill eight tasty trout for dinner!
I think Grandma is picking some of the wild raspberries that covered the side of the lake.

The kids got to sleepover with cousins too!
Thanks for the great memories!
