Summer Begins

Jenny's kids finished up school a few weeks before us and started the process of saying goodbye to everything in Pokie and moving into their new home in South Jordan.
We are excited to say hello to more cousin's close by and summer fun!

The girls wanted a front yard picnic with separate blankets :)
This was the in between time when we were still going to school, but enjoying the beginning of summer fun
T loves these blossoms every year!

Strawberry harvest!

Getting outside and in the garden!

Jared got really serious about the kayak project.
He worked with the kids for a couple of months and put together three foldable kayaks.
Renee bought a new house in Sandy!  It was fun to meet her neighbor's horses.  She juggled three houses all summer and finally settled into her new house a couple weeks ago.
The flag out for Memorial Day
It was nice to go with Jenny and Linda to the gravesites of our Harston and Hatch grandparents here in the valley.
It has been a few years and was meaningful to visit again.

Yea for Sunday afternoons with a sweet big brother to read to you.
Our wonderful neighbors, Jan and Gordan, treat us to fun times at Family Home Evening.

Triple Date

In early June we went out with two cute couples to Thanksgiving Point Gardens.  It is a great place for a date!  Here are a few photos:

End of Year Finales

The last weeks of the school year in May and June brought performances and celebrations.  We enjoyed the time with family and friends!
waiting for family to arrive at the Piano Recital
Michael rocked his two pieces!
Derek graduated and had a senior graphic design art show in downtown SLC.
We took a day trip to the cabin one Saturday with some of the boys' friends from school.
The boys had some good adventure time.  And they brought their favorite activities too.  I had to take a few shots of the rubik's cubes left by the boys in various places around the cabin.
Seth brought Beth and Ruth up also for good cousin time with the girls.
We had a quick lunch at the park one day before we took Tessa and Leah to kindergarten.  She was our carpool friend all year long.
Leisel had her buddy, Spencer, along too.
Leisel somehow took this picture one day when we waited to pick up the kids from school.  The ending of our school year was a little bitter sweet, because we decided not to come back to our charter school.  We were grateful for all our great experiences there, but now looked forward to some other options at a new charter or home school.

Jonathan loved the shows and mostly sat quietly through them..
Grandma and Grandpa Clark came to be the cheering section for the kids shows and stayed for a fun visit!

Good friends and teachers!!

Michael's teacher hosted an end of year class pool party.
Tessa performed with Sunshine Generation and was in the South Jordan City Parade.  Super fun for her!

The little (and big) things Life is made of

Our 15 year St. Petersburg Russia mission reunion, conference weekend in April.
Elder Kux, from Germany, visited President and Sister Datwyler in Germany and took a video of them to share with us.  Their message was the highlight of the evening!  The delicious catered Russian meal and fun visiting was super too!
